PlanningAlerts.ie includes information on over 400,000 planning across Ireland since 2010. Using this valuable information, it is possible to extract keywords on various planning trends across the country. In this case, we focused on the location of all planning applications that include keywords relating to quarries. We searched through all 400K records for mentions of "quarry" or "quarries". The majority are planning applications for quarry activity, while others are restorations of former quarries back to agricultural use. Take a look at the locations of these planning applications in relation to their decision status and location on the map.
